Humanities
Religious Education at The Orchard Centre is designed to provoke challenging questions about the ultimate meaning and purpose of life, beliefs about God, the self and the nature of reality, issues of right and wrong and what it means to be human.

It offers opportunities for personal reflection and spiritual development. It enhances students’ awareness and understanding of religions and beliefs, teachings, practices and forms of expression, as well as of the influence of religion on individuals, families, communities and cultures.

RE has an important role in preparing young people
for adult life, employment and lifelong learning.
It enables students to develop respect for
and sensitivity to others, in particular those
whose faiths and beliefs are different from their own.
It promotes discernment and enables students to combat prejudice.

Orchard Support Fund
The Orchard Support Fund was set up in September 2022 in immediate response to the ‘Cost of Living’ crisis.
Our Centre is a community and we aim to serve not only the young people who need us but also their families. We understand that families and households may experience times of hardship or difficulty and we are here to support.
For those families who need our support, we can supply:
-
Food
-
Additional uniform where appropriate
-
Items to try and help you stay warm this winter
All of the above goods are stored at the Orchard Centre and can be collected via prior appointment by completing the form below:
https://forms.office.com/r/E0dCEhc4LY
Once you have submitted your request, one of our staff members will give you a call to see how we can help and arrange a time for you to come and access our community service.
Alternatively, if you would like to donate any items to the Orchard Support Fund, then your assistance would be gratefully appreciated.
If you would like any further information about the Orchard Support Fund, please contact us in full confidentiality either via the link above, or at orchard.centre@wolverhampton.gov.uk.
